MetaData Warehousing
MetaData Warehousing is about the concept of centralising and integrating the business intelligence metadata (KPI's, metrics, calculations, dimensions, hierarchies). The importance of this concept is highly underestimated during data warehousing and business intelligence initiatives. In most cases, multiple BI Tools and applications will access the data warehouse, each with their own metadata layer. The Oracle BI EE repository technology provides means to centralize the business intelligence metadata and make it available to a wide range of BI tools.
