How can we migrate the report jobs in BI Publisher from one system to other ?

Que ) On migrating from one system to other the user can be migrated and allocated to catalog groups but the report jobs won't show up. How can we migrate the report jobs?

Ans) There is no method available to move or migrate the existing reports jobs to another BI Publisher instance. The BI Publisher document doesn't provide any such option. We have a catalog utility that can be used to move the catalog objects like reports, data models etc but not jobs or job history.

It’s been a while…

It's been a bit quiet lately. Not because of lack of interest, on the contrary. I've been very busy. From a BI perspective, lots of things have changed. I focused more on the back-end side of things (database, ODI etc) and also had some time with other vendor's tools. Let's leave it at that... :-) But first and foremost: I've been playing around with Oracle TRC. Translational Research Center. It's a platform based on Oracle Software (Database, Weblogic, ODI and OBI) that supports researchers and doctors in diagnosing patients. It offers the possibility of combining clinical data with genomic data. Which is of course very useful and necessary when you want to aim for personalized treatments. There is nothing more personal than an individual's DNA. Version 3.0 is out, so I'm figuring out what has changed. In the coming weeks, I'll be installing and configuring TRC at a customer's site and post progress here ! Regards, René

Why Oracle Purchased BitzerMobile and The Impact to Fusion Middleware

The acquisition of BitzerMobile is a huge game changer for Oracle's middleware offerings. It not only elevates the potential for all of Oracle's Fusion Middleware applications such as OBIEE but it now fits the gap in their mobility capabilities they've had around security. That's right Oracle may have been pushing their mobile ready applications for years but one of the main reasons the mobility of their applications has not been well adopted in the enterprise is due to their inability to provide an integrated Mobile Device Management solution.
