Prerequisite:
This patch requires Hyperion Planning 11.1.2.4.002 (20937926) or higher.
Defect Fixed in this Release:
- 25247546 - If you use a non-level 0 attribute member in a rule, the rule may not validate from the rule designer.
- 25751618 - Short cut rules may not show the application/cube of the application/cube in which they are located, instead they may show the application/cube of the original rule.
- 25996141 - The CalcManager.log file may not show the start and end time for the launch of an Essbase rule from within Calculation Manager.
- 25996325 - Using the Command Line Launcher for Essbase Rules in Calculation Manager the CalcManager.log file may not show the start and end time for the launch of the rule.
- 26023711 - In an ASO cube, creating a Custom Calc rule with more than one formula line may not validate.

Hyperion Product Management recently advised the release of a Patch Set Update (PSU) for Oracle Smart View for Office 11.1.2.5.x
This PSU is available from the My Oracle Support | Patches & Updates section.

Supported Paths to This Patch
You can upgrade to Smart View Release 11.1.2.5.701 from the 11.1.2.x releases; however, Oracle recommends uninstalling Smart View before installing release 11.1.2.5.701.
Note: When upgrading from release 11.1.1.3.x and earlier, Oracle strongly recommends uninstalling Smart View before installing release 11.1.2.5.701.
Defects Fixed:
- 25851994 - After upgrading Smart View, Financial Reporting reports now import correctly.
- 25886581 - Oracle EPM Cloud. Smart View now supports single signon across Office applications for cloud products within the same domain.
- 22835235 - In Smart View, when the Planning User Preferences Display Setting option, Indentation of Members on Page, is set to “Indent Level Zero Members Only,” hierarchy members in the form POV are now properly indented.
- 24483712 - The Smart View add-in no longer causes Excel to terminate abnormally when closing.
- 25655219 - On Windows Surface Pro, Smart View no longer stops responding when right-clicking in succession on members after several zoom in operations.
- 25740683 - Oracle Enterprise Performance Reporting Cloud. Excel and Word no longer randomly terminate when uploading or checking in a doclet.

Note: Essbase Administration Services 11.1.2.4.016, Provider Services 11.1.2.4.017, and Essbase Studio 11.1.2.4.016 are supported for use with Essbase 11.1.2.4.017.
Unsupported Features
- MaxL Perl Module Will No Longer Be Supported in 12.2.1.3.0
- Essbase Native Security Mode Is No Longer Supported

After a patch is applied within the same release codeline, Oracle recommends as a best practice that you export the data from your databases, clear the data from the databases, and then reload the data.

Patch Set Update (PSU) for Oracle Hyperion Data Relationship Management 11.1.2.4.x has been released.

This Patch Set Update (PSU) requires a full installation. This patch can be installed on a new machine or replace an existing installation.
New Features in this Release:
Two new System Preferences are available
(ExternalShareInfo, ExternalStats) to allow an administrator to select a group
for each of the two system categories (Stats and Shared Info) so that these can
be managed via Shared Services groups (or with an external directory connected
to Shared Services). Internal users can still be added to or removed
from those categories manually (in a Mixed configuration), and these will not
be touched by the CUP synchronization process.
PreRequisites:
- New User Privileges for Oracle Repository
- When upgrading from a Data Relationship Management release prior to 11.1.2.4.330, additional database privileges are required to use release 11.1.2.4.344 with an Oracle repository. Before running the Apply Updates process on the repository, the existing schema owner must be granted two additional privileges:
GRANT CREATE TYPE, CREATE SEQUENCE TO <user>;
This step is not required when upgrading from release 11.1.2.4.330 or later or when creating a new Oracle repository since these privileges will be automatically applied to the new user. This step is also not required when using a SQL Server repository.
- Required User Rights - refer to the readme
- Memory Configuration - To ensure proper performance, it is strongly recommended that Windows pagefile size on the DRM server be at least 1.1 times system memory with growth allowed up to 1.5 times system memory. When system memory is large (e.g. 64 GB and higher) the pagefile can be maintained at 1.1 times system memory. Pagefile sizes smaller than this can lead to serious performance and functional issues.
- Enterprise Performance Management Architect Patch - In order to successfully integrate Data Relationship Management and Enterprise Performance Management Architect, the following patch must be applied: Oracle Enterprise Performance Management Architect, Fusion Edition Release 11.1.2.4.000 Patch Set Exception (PSE) 22078964.

If this patch will replace an existing 11.1.2.4.x installation, related components such as Hyperion Foundation Services are not affected. However, upgrading from a release prior to 11.1.2.4.x will require an upgrade of Foundation Services to 11.1.2.4.
