ABOUT THIS PATCH:

11.1.2.4.201 PSU for Financial Close Management and Tax Governance are the same patch but have different readme steps. See notes below:

  • NOTE: If you have Tax Governance and Financial Close Management installed on same environment, please follow the readme steps from FCM 11.1.2.4.201 instead.
  • NOTE: If you have Tax Governance and Financial Close Management installed on same environment and have applied FCM 11.1.2.4.201 PSU (25344199), you need not apply this patch on that environment.

Caution: You are urged to carefully read and understand the following requirements. Failure to comply may result in applying a patch that can cause your application to malfunction, including interruption of service and/or loss of data. Before installing or applying this patch:

  • Verify that the issue described in the Readme matches the issue that you are encountering.  Review the Bug Number referenced in the Readme for additional information. 
  • Verify that your system configuration (product version, patch level, and platform) exactly matches what is specified in the Readme.
Prerequisites:
  • Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF) Patch 21240419
    - refer to FCM Patch ReadMe for related details on applying this patch.
  • Microsoft has identified a security issue that could compromise Windows-based systems.  Before installing this patch, verify that the Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package installed on the computer is current.  You may search and download the latest Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package from here.
  • Install HFM patch 11.1.2.4.201 (22965464), if using HFM
  • Install SOA patch SOA_11.1.1.7.8_Patch_20900797
  • Install WebLogic Server patch WLS_PSU_10.3.6.13_21984589

Patch Set Update: Oracle Hyperion Profitability and Cost Management 11.1.2.4.123

The following Patch Set Update (PSU) has been released for Hyperion Profitability and Cost Management (HPCM) 11.1.2.4.x.

This is a patch set update (PSU).  It requires a full installation of Profitability and Cost Management Services for Release 11.1.2.4.000.

You can only apply this patch to release 11.1.2.4.000, or any 11.1.2.4.1xx PSU release.

Required Patches
  • Oracle Hyperion Shared Services 11.1.2.4.002 or higher
  • Oracle Hyperion Analytic Provider Services 11.1.2.4.014 or higher
  • Oracle Essbase Administration Services 11.1.2.4.014 or higher
  • Oracle Essbase Studio 11.1.2.4.014 or higher
  • Oracle Hyperion Essbase portfolio products 11.1.2.4.014 or higher:
    • Essbase Server
    • Essbase Client

Check My Oracle Support for the latest patches.  Be sure to upgrade all components included in each patch.

Defects Fixed in this Patch:

• 24653959 - Submitted jobs could take up to a minute to display with correct status in the Job Library.  With this patch, submitted jobs display immediately in the Job Library and their statuses are updated promptly.

• 25070783 - For Management Ledger applications, dimension cache loading is enhanced in this patch to load more efficiently.  For applications with large dimensions, this results in much shorter wait times for accessing dimension members after updating dimensions.

• 25219342 - For Management Ledger applications with large dimensions, Smart View queries could take too long to validate and save, causing the screen to hang or time out.  That problem is resolved in this patch.

• 25263275 - For Management Ledger applications, member formulas with new line characters cannot be supported.  They cannot be properly imported by Template Import or LCM Import.Template Export and LCM Export are enhanced in this patch to remove any new line characters within member formulas so they will be able to re-import cleanly without errors.

• 25340413 - For Management Ledger applications with attribute dimensions, the attribute associations were not being imported on the base dimensions when Dimensions were selected for LCM import.With this patch, LCM export is changed to export the attribute dimensions first so they will import before the base dimensions. If you have encountered this problem, re-export your application after applying this patch, then the attribute associations will import correctly. If the source application is no longer available for re-exporting, the workaround is to re-import the base dimensions after the initial full import.

This Patch Set Update (PSU) requires a full installation. This patch can be installed on a new machine or replace an existing installation.

New Features in this Release:

When using dynamic scripts for a workflow task, the object "RequestItemDetailObject" has been enhanced to provide two additional properties for use:

  • "CalcValue" (Calculated value of property)
  • "HasCalcValue" (Returns True if the value is calculated)


If this patch will replace an existing 11.1.2.4.x installation, related components such as Hyperion Foundation Services are not affected.  However, upgrading from a release prior to 11.1.2.4.x will require an upgrade of Foundation Services to 11.1.2.4.

Hyperion Product Management have advised the release of a Patch Set Update (PSU) for Oracle Hyperion Financial Reporting 11.1.2.4.x

This is a patch set update (PSU). This patch set update is a partial installation. It replaces files in the existing installation, and does not require a full installation. This patch set update is cumulative and does include fixes from previous patches.

New Features in 11.1.2.4.704:
Financial Reporting Web Studio enhancements to achievemore parity with the Windows Studio functionality:

  • Conditional formatting and suppression
  • Auto-Calculation
  • Ability to Save Objects
  • Related Content
  • Row/Column templates

Removal of Support for Financial Reporting Studio Desktop Client:

Oracle is committed to providing a simple and intuitive experience to the users of the service. To achieve this goal, Financial Reporting Web Studio, a component available since the 11.1.2.4.701 release, will be established as the only tool for designing and building reports. As a result, Financial Reporting Studio desktop client support will be fully transitioned to Financial Reporting Web Studio, tentatively in mid-2017. With a planned mid-2017 update, Financial Reporting Studio desktop client is planned to no longer be distributed.

Starting with the 11.1.2.4.704 release, Financial Reporting Web Studio will achieve functional parity with most of the capabilities provided with Financial Reporting Studio desktop client. You will be able to create new reports and modify existing reports using Financial Reporting Web Studio.

Oracle recommends that you transition to using Financial Reporting Web Studio at the earliest opportunity.

You MUST install the Microsoft VC 2005 SP1 ATL redistributable pack before applying this patch. The updated VC 2005 redistributable is available here for both x86 (32-bit) and x64 (64-bit).
