Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition Suite Bundle Patch 11.1.1.9.161018 is Available

The following Bundle Patch has been released for Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) 11.1.1.9.

This bundle patch download is available from the My Oracle Support | Patches & Updates section.

This is a Critical Patch Update (CPU). It is cumulative and includes all prior bundle and CPU patches.

If you have not applied libOVD (Patch 21895214) to the oracle_common home, then you need to apply it for new installations.  If you have applied the Patch, then it is not necessary to apply it again.

The instructions to apply the patches are contained in the readme file for Patch 24668000 ; which is the master patch, consisting of individual zip files:

    The single patches are not available separately and should all be applied according to the readme

      • 24789802 - The HFMAuditExtractUtility is not shipped with 11.1.2.4.  Users can download the latest version of 11.1.2.3 to obtain the utility.
      • 24489352 - Taskflow fails when selecting more than one year.
      • 24433539 - Calculation status is incorrect after aborted consolidation.
      • 24428727 - Financial Reports fail with "ADM Error processing results from query."
      • 24411886 - ADM error prevents generation of Financial Reports books.
      • 24405424 - Consolidations do not run concurrently when selected as a group
      • 24376808 - High memory usage running consolidations.
      • 24352948 - Nested tasklist crashes web tier when opened through smartview.
      • 24324733 - Import application fails when source and destination application names are not unique.
      • 23749604 - Error EPMHFM-66054 occurs when opening imported application.
      • 23745236 - Unrelated intersections are returned when drilling down in data grid.
      • 23735371 - Error EPMHFM-7290 occurs when toggling from grid designer to grid viewer.
      • 23721976 - Poor performance when unlocking entities.
      • 23640335 - Poor performance  when running intercompany reports.
      • 23639606 - Poor performance running intercompany reports.
      • 23590525 - Consolidations abort using SQL Server.
      • 23563030 - Poor performance posting and unposting journals.
      • 23503326 - Poor performance retrieving descriptions in smartview.
      • 23339778 - Clearing a line in a grid/form deletes the entire grid/form.
      • 23111977 - Extracted rule file is blank when including double byte numerical value in comment.
      • 22927729 - Calculation manager rules fail to deploy.

      Refer to the readme of each PSU to determine the supported path of each one and confirm which existing releases it can be applied to.

      Note: Essbase Administration Services 11.1.2.4.013, Provider Services 11.1.2.4.013, and Essbase Studio 11.1.2.4.011 are supported for use with Essbase 11.1.2.4.013.

      RECOMMENDATION:

      Oracle recommends using the same version of all Essbase portfolio products (Essbase, Essbase Administration Services, Hyperion Provider Services, and Essbase Studio) and components (server, client, runtime client, API, and JAPI). When only some Essbase portfolio products are included in a patch release, the last released versions of the products that are not included in the patch are supported.

      After a patch is applied within the same release codeline, Oracle recommends as a best practice that you export the data from your databases, clear the data from the databases, and then reload the data.
