Monthly Update Schedule:

We would like to inform you of the upcoming monthly update for your Cloud environments. We will apply the latest updates to your test environment on Friday, May 5, 2017 and to your production environment on Friday, May 19, 2017. The update will be applied during your scheduled daily maintenance window..

    Defects Fixed:

    • 25683040 - Oracle Enterprise Performance Reporting Cloud (EPRCS) will automatically revert any Embedded Content (EC) control which may have inadvertently been changed from block mode to inline mode preventing a service error upon refresh of the EC control.
    • 25690986 - In Management Reporting, if you have multiple dimensions in rows and columns and the header row or column for a dimension is hidden, it is now hidden from the chart as well.

    Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) 11g Bundle Patch 11.1.1.9.170418

    The following Bundle Patch has been released for Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) 11.1.1.9.

    This bundle patch download is available from the My Oracle Support | Patches & Updates section.

    Patch 25797429

    This is a Critical Patch Update (CPU). It is cumulative and includes all prior bundle and CPU patches.

    If you have not applied libOVD (Patch 21895214) to the oracle_common home, then you need to apply it for new installations.  If you have applied the Patch, then it is not necessary to apply it again.

    The following OBIEE Web Services Critical Patch Update (CPU) patches are also recommended and applied to the oracle_common home:

    • Patch 24580895: WEBSRV BUNDLE PATCH 11.1.1.9.160919
    • Patch 17081528: "RESOLVE_ENTITY_DEFAULT" PROPERTY DOES NOT PREVENT PROCESSING EXTERNAL DTD

    The instructions to apply the patches are contained in the readme file for Patch 25797429 ; which is the master patch, consisting of individual zip files:

    • 25710734 Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher (BIP)
    • 25796832 Oracle Enterprise Performance Management Components Installed from Oracle BI Installer 11.1.1.9.0 (BIFNDNEPM)
    • 25710656 Oracle Business Intelligence Server (BISERVER)
    • 25710602 Oracle Business Intelligence Presentation Services (BIPS) (BIFNDN)
    • 24346370 Oracle Business Intelligence ADF Components (BIADFCOMPS)
    • 25818798 Oracle Business Intelligence Platform Client Installers and MapViewer
    • 21517672 Oracle Business Intelligence Third Party
    • 25738050 Oracle BI Mobile App Designer
    The single patches are not available separately and should all be applied according to the readme

    Oracle Critical Patch Update Advisory – April 2017

    The Critical Patch Update for April 2017 was released on April 18th, 2017.

    Oracle strongly recommends applying the patches as soon as possible.

    The Critical Patch Update Advisory is the starting point for relevant information. It includes the list of products affected, pointers to obtain the patches, a summary of the security vulnerabilities for each product suite, and links to other important documents. Supported products that are not listed in the "Affected Products and Components" section of the advisory do not require new patches to be applied.

    Also, it is essential to review the Critical Patch Update supporting documentation referenced in the Advisory before applying patches, as this is where you can find important pertinent information.
