Patch Set Updates for Hyperion Essbase 11.1.2.4.010

The Hyperion Product Management recently advised the release of Patch Set Updates (PSU) for Oracle Hyperion Essbase 11.1.2.4.x.

These PSU releases can be applied to the following releases of existing Essbase installations:
  • 11.1.2.4.000
  • 11.1.2.4.003
  • 11.1.2.4.006
  • 11.1.2.4.009
  • 11.1.2.4.001
  • 11.1.2.4.004
  • 11.1.2.4.007
  • 11.1.2.4.002
  • 11.1.2.4.005
  • 11.1.2.4.008

Note: Essbase Administration Services 11.1.2.4.010, Provider Services 11.1.2.4.010, and Essbase Studio 11.1.2.4.010 are supported for use with Essbase 11.1.2.4.010.

RECOMMENDATION:

Oracle recommends using the same version of all Essbase portfolio products (Essbase, Essbase Administration Services, Hyperion Provider Services, and Essbase Studio) and components (server, client, runtime client, API, and JAPI). When only some Essbase portfolio products are included in a patch release, the last released versions of the products that are not included in the patch are supported..

After a patch is applied within the same release codeline, Oracle recommends as a best practice that you export the data from your databases, clear the data from the databases, and then reload the data.

This FCM PSU can be applied to 11.1.2.4.000, 11.1.2.4.100, 11.1.2.4.101 and 11.1.2.4.102 releases.

Prerequisites:

  • Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF) Patch 21240419
    - refer to FCM Patch ReadMe for related details on applying this patch.
  • Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) 11.1.2.4.201 Patch 22965464

New Features in this Patch for Supplemental Data Management

  • Reassignment of task owners of data form
  • Validation of Supplemental Data Total against an account balance in HFM

Patch Set Update: Data Relationship Management Analytics 11.1.2.4.340

A Patch Set Update (PSU) for Oracle Hyperion Data Relationship Management Analytics 11.1.2.4.x has been released.

This PSU is available from the My Oracle Support | Patches & Updates section.

To install the Data Relationship Management Analytics module, refer to the Oracle Data Relationship Management Installation Guide for instructions.  To upgrade the Data Relationship Management Analytics module from a previous release, do the following:

1.    Stop the WLS Admin Server.
2.    Stop the Oracle DRM Managed Server.
3.    Run script upgrade.cmd (Windows) or upgrade.sh (Linux)
4.    Enter requested information for EPM Domain.
5.    Start the WLS Admin Server.
6.    Start the Oracle DRM Managed Server.

The Readme file should be reviewed prior to proceeding with this PSU implementation for important information that includes a full list of the defects fixed, along with additional support information, prerequisites, details for applying patch.

It is important to ensure that the requirements and support paths to this patch are met as outlined within the Readme file. The Readme file is available from the Patches & Updates download screen.
