The Hyperion Product Management recently advised the release of Patch Set Updates (PSU) for Oracle Hyperion Essbase 11.1.2.4.x.

RECOMMENDATIONS:

Oracle recommends using the same version of all Essbase portfolio products (Essbase, Essbase Administration Services, Hyperion Provider Services, and Essbase Studio) and components (server, client, runtime client, API, and JAPI). When only some Essbase portfolio products are included in a patch release, the last released versions of the products that are not included in the patch are supported.

Essbase Administration Services 11.1.2.4.016, Provider Services 11.1.2.4.018, and Essbase Studio 11.1.2.4.016 are supported for use with Essbase 11.1.2.4.019.

After you apply a patch within the same release codeline, Oracle recommends as a best practice that you export the data from your databases, clear the data from the databases, and then reload the data.

Supported Paths to This Patch:

You can apply this patch to Oracle Hyperion Tax Provision Release 11.1.2.4.000 or Oracle Hyperion Tax Provision Release 11.1.2.4.100 or Oracle Hyperion Tax Provision Release 11.1.2.4.200 or Oracle Hyperion Tax Provision Release 11.1.2.4.201.

Important: If you are upgrading from Oracle Hyperion Tax Provision 11.1.2.4.000 you need to incrementally follow all the upgrade instructions for releases leading up to 11.1.2.4.202.

For example, upgrading from HTP 11.1.2.4.000 to HTP 11.1.2.4.202 will require the following steps:

1. Perform the application upgrade steps from the 11.1.2.4.100 readme to upgrade your HTP application(s) to 11.1.2.4.100.
2. Performing the application upgrade steps from the 11.1.2.4.200 readme to upgrade your HTP application(s) to 11.1.2.4.200.
3. Perform the application upgrade steps from the 11.1.2.4.201 readme to upgrade your HTP application(s) to 11.1.2.4.201.

Prerequisites:
