This PSU can be applied to an existing Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) 11.1.2.3.700 installation.

PREREQUISITES

  • Where Oracle Database Client 10.2.x or 11.1.x for Financial Management is being used, the StmtCacheSize registry setting must be set.

Patch Set Update: Oracle Data Relationship Management 11.1.2.4.321

The following Patch Set Update (PSU) has been released for Oracle Data Relationship Management (DRM) 11.1.2.4.x.

This PSU download is available from the My Oracle Support | Patches & Updates section.

Patch 22000945

This is the sixth patch on the DRM 11.1.2.4.000 release, and is inclusive of the previous five PSU 11.1.2.4.3xx releases.

This PSU requires a full installation, and can be installed on a new machine or replace an existing installation

When this patch replaces an existing 11.1.2.4.x installation, related components such as Hyperion Foundation Services are not affected. However, upgrading from a release prior to 11.1.2.4.x will require an upgrade of Foundation Services to 11.1.2.4.

Details of the supported paths to this patch are outlined in the Readme file. This file also contains prequisite information that includes required (MS Windows) user account permissions, memory configuration, and required Patch Set Exception (PSE) for integrating DRM with Enterprise Performance Management Architect EPMA) 11.1.2.4.

NEW FEATURES

  • Integration with Oracle Business Intelligence Applications

A new application template is available to auto-configure Data Relationship Management to enable the creation and management of custom hierarchies for the Business Unit dimension in Oracle Business Intelligence Applications.

After the template is loaded, business units can be imported from the BI Warehouse, organized into custom hierarchies in Data Relationship Management, and exported back to the BI Warehouse for reporting purposes in Oracle BI Applications.

This application template is compatible with Oracle BI Applications 11.1.1.10.1.

These PSU releases can be applied to the following releases of existing Essbase installations:
  • 11.1.2.4.000
  • 11.1.2.4.001
  • 11.1.2.4.002
  • 11.1.2.4.003
  • 11.1.2.4.004*

Note: *Versions listed may not have been released for all Essbase components

RECOMMENDATION:

Oracle recommends using the same version of all Essbase portfolio products (Essbase, Essbase Administration Services, Hyperion Provider Services, and Essbase Studio) and components (server, client, runtime client, API, and JAPI). When only some Essbase portfolio products are included in a patch release, the last released versions of the products that are not included in the patch are supported.

After a patch is applied within the same release codeline, Oracle recommends as a best practice that you export the data from your databases, clear the data from the databases, and then reload the data.

*Support for Solaris: HFM 11.1.2.4.102 provides support for Solaris on Exalytics. This is provided via alternate HFM Patch 22078406. To download this alternate patch and to view its Readme, contact Oracle Support for the required password.
