RECOMMENDATIONS:
Oracle recommends using the same version of all Essbase portfolio products (Essbase, Essbase Administration Services, Hyperion Provider Services, and Essbase Studio) and components (server, client, runtime client, API, and JAPI). When only some Essbase portfolio products are included in a patch release, the last released versions of the products that are not included in the patch are supported.
Essbase Administration Services 11.1.2.4.023, Provider Services 11.1.2.4.023, and Essbase Studio 11.1.2.4.016 are supported for use with Essbase 11.1.2.4.023.
Recommendation: After you apply a patch within the same release codeline, Oracle recommends as a best practice that you export the data from your databases, clear the data from the databases, and then reload the data.

Refer to the Readme files prior to proceeding with these PSU implementations for important information that includes the supported paths per component, along with a full list of the defects fixed, additional support information, prerequisites, details for applying patch and troubleshooting FAQ's.

This is a patch set update (PSU). This patch replaces files in the existing installation and does not require a full installation.

Prerequisite:
Hyperion Planning 11.1.2.4.002 (20937926) or higher.
Defect Fixed in this Release:
- 27510205 - In an ASO rule with multiple formula lines, the rule may give an error when the rule launches.
- 27540445 - The custom defined function @CalcMgrMDXExport was modified to add additional parameters, but the registration of the CDF may fail due to the addition of the new parameters.
- 27540472 - A rule that uses the nested range functions with cross dimension syntax may not open, or may take a long time to open.
- 27540490 - Validating Scripts may not work, and may require you to restart Calculation Manager.
- Refer to the Readme files for information pertaining to the above requirements. The Readme file should also be consulted prior proceeding with the PSU implementation for important information that also includes supported paths, list of defects fixed, additional support information, prerequisites, required rights, details for applying patch and troubleshooting FAQ's.

What are Rolling Forecasts and How to Use Them in Enterprise Planning and Budgeting?
- Rolling Forecast is a popular concept to facilitate continual planning vs. distinct planning as in Annual Plans or a regular Forecast.
- In a Rolling Forecast companies typically plan for 12, 18 months or a rolling 4,8 Quarters. The Forecast goes beyond the current year.
- Forecast the entirety of the Current Year plus a portion of the following year.
- Less focus on the “YearTotal” and more on the Rolling Forecast Range.
- Many companies want to run both process but eventually would like to move to rolling forecast
Traditional Budgeting:
- Calendar-based (Annual, Quarters etc.)
- Fixed targets (Sales/Profit, other KPIs)
- Resource allocations are rigid
- Manual account based and often connected to accounting cycles
Rolling Forecast:
- Event based and real-time adjustment to calendar forecasts
- Dynamic adjustments to targets based on external/internal events in business
- Forecasts and re-allocation of resources based on dynamic targets
- Driver based on assumptions, and connected to business operations

How to Collect Diagnostics to Assess Browser Network Performance in Internet Explorer, Chrome …

Collecting Diagnostic Information for INTERNET EXPLORER:1. Clear the browser cache
Select Tools, then Internet Options.
Under Browsing History, click Delete.
Make sure that all checkboxes are selected, and then Press Delete.
2. Open network diagnostics
Select Tools, then F12 Developer Tools.
Click Network.
If the Play button (green play icon) on the left is not enabled, click it.
Connect to your EPM Cloud service instance, and execute the use case in the browser.
Log off your EPM Cloud service instance, and execute the use case again in the browser.
This is to ensure that the static content is cached by the browser.
3. Click the Export as HAR symbol, and then save the HAR file.
Submit feedback using the Provide Feedback utility.
Attach the HAR file to the service request, and add the Provide Feedback reference to the service request.
Collecting Diagnostic Information for CHROME:
1. Clear the browser cache
Under the Chrome customize and control symbol, select More tools, and then Clear browsing data.
Under Time Range, select All time, and then click CLEAR DATA
2. Invoke network diagnostics:
Under the Chrome customize and control symbol, select More tools, and then Developer tools.
Click Network.
Connect to your EPM Cloud service instance, and execute the use case in the browser.
Log off your EPM Cloud service instance, and execute the use case in the browser again.
This is to ensure that the static content is cached by the browser.
3. Right-click anywhere under the Name column, select Save as HAR with content, and save the HAR file.
Submit feedback using the Provide Feedback utility.
Attach the HAR file to the to the service request, and add the Provide Feedback reference to the service request.

Under the Open menu symbol,select History.
Select Clear Recent History.
Under Time range to clear, select Everything, and then click Clear Now.
2. Open network diagnostics:
Under the Open menu symbol, select Developer, and then select Network.
Connect to your EPM Cloud service instance, and execute the use case in the browser.
Log off your EPM Cloud service instance, and then execute the use case in the browser again.
This is to ensure that the static content is cached by the browser.
3. Right-click anywhere in the File column, and then select Save all as HAR. Save the HAR file.
Submit feedback using the Provide Feedback utility.
Attach the HAR file to the service request, and add the Provide Feedback reference to the to the service request.
