OSSM actually seems like it has taken a back seat, or was always in the shadows of OBIEE, since its initial release in Oracle BI 11.1.1.5 to other more publicized components such as its core Oracle BI platform, Exalytics, Essbase, and even now Smart View with the 11.1.1.7 release.

BITeamwork 2.0 Now Available for Oracle BI

Yesterday, BITeamwork 2.0 was released. This marks the point of BITeamwork officially launching out of its infancy into a more mature release. That's right, it is no longer a 1.x release and several organizations are currently leveraging BITeamwork for their Collaborative BI solution inside of OBIEE 11g.

Changing WebLogic Server Deployment Order using MBeans

This post is brought about from some new development on the BITeamwork Collaborative BI solution where one customer had an issue with a delay in the Oracle BI start up supposedly from BITeamwork being deployed as an application with the WebLogic Server default Deployment Order value of 100. This was a valid concern since BITeamwork seeks to call the /analytics JEE application's web services when it starts in order to assess if OBIEE Presentation Services is actually started.
