Vanity URL Support in EPM Cloud

Thanks to Daniel Edwin, EPM Infrastructure Team, for the presentation on this topic.

Support for Vanity URLs

You can use custom URLs to access EPM Cloud environments from a web browser and Smart View. You use a third party link shortener, for example, T.ly, Bitly, Rebrandly, TinyUrl, is.gd and so on, or an open source solution, for example, YOURLS, to configure custom URLs for each environment. For detailed information on creating vanity URLs, see the documentation from the third party link shortener of your choice.

  • Vanity URLs work for Smart View version 20.200 and higher only.
  • Vanity URL is currently not supported for EPM Automate, EPM Agent, and cross-environment connections (EPM Connect).
  • Vanity URLs help you easily remember and enter URLs of EPM Cloud environments into a web browser.

Vanity URL Examples:

Below are examples of Vanity URL configurations using third party vanity URL provider “ReBrandly” for the following business processes in Classic and OCI flavors of EPM Cloud:

  • Planning and Budgeting Cloud
  • Narrative Reporting Cloud
  • Profitability and Cost Management Cloud
