New EPM Automate Utility Version – Find out more!

Thank you to Rohini Potukuchi, Software Development Manager, for providing information on this post!

Starting with the 17.10 update of EPM Cloud, EPM Automate can:
  • Directly support environments with proxy servers that require authentication. This version includes updates to the login command, which now accepts internet proxy server domain, user name, and password as optional parameters.
  • This enhancement enables you to use the EPM Automate utility in corporate network environments with internet proxy server configurations that require users to authenticate with the proxy server before establishing communication with resources outside the corporate network.
  • Resolves the error: EPMAT-7: EPM Automate doesn’t support proxies which require authentication
    • The proxy username, password, and domain of the proxy server can now be passed to EPM Automate at the time of login.
    • The proxy user password can also be encrypted and stored in an .epw file. Encrypted passwords can then be passed to the epmautomate login command.

In order to use the updated command, you must use version 17.10 of the utility. Check out the EPM Cloud updates below that were posted last month and then click on "October 2017" to review the "New Features and Announcements" section of the update.

EPM Cloud – Can the Capacity of an EPM Cloud Service be Increased?

Can the capacity of an EPM Cloud Service be increased at a customer's request?

This question has been asked by our EPM Cloud customers a bit more frequently.

Kash Mohammadi, VP of EPM Cloud, provides the following information when it comes to this topic.

  1. EPM Cloud is architected for elastic scalability.
  2. The likely reason for most performance issues is application design, not memory or compute resources.
  3. Application design inefficiencies can be identified by reviewing the Application Activity Report.
