Auditing, Monitoring and Logs

How do auditing and monitoring work in EPM cloud?

Below is some general information about Auditing, Monitoring and Logs with EPM cloud. Check out the documentation links and a presentation provided by Bill Fox, Consulting Product Manager for Oracle EPM Cloud, on this topic.

Activity Reports (all EPM Cloud except EPRCS)

  • Generated every day
  • Understand application usage - 5, 10, 30, 60 day windows
  • Helps streamline application design
  • Identifies calc scripts and user requests that impact performance
  • Activity Reports provide the following:
    • Number of users who signed into the application each day
    • Percentage of requests that took more than 10 seconds to complete
    • Top seven requests that took the most time to complete
    • Top 30 worst performing actions that took over 10 seconds to complete
    • Number of users per hour
    • Number of users based on how long they were signed into the application
    • Top 10 users based on how long they were signed into the application
    • Application design changes that occurred over the reporting period
    • Smart View release

Access Logs

  • Comma Separated Value (CSV)
  • Generated daily
  • Includes:
    • date and time
    • the resources that users accessed
    • duration of user activity
    • IP addresses from which users connected
    • the actions that users performed

System Audit

  • Enterprise Performance Reporting Cloud
