Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) Suite Bundle Patch 11.1.1.9.170117 is Available

The following Bundle Patch has been released for Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) 11.1.1.9.

This bundle patch download is available from the My Oracle Support | Patches & Updates section.

Patch 25189841

This is a Critical Patch Update (CPU). It is cumulative and includes all prior bundle and CPU patches.

If you have not applied libOVD (Patch 21895214) to the oracle_common home, then you need to apply it for new installations. If you have applied the Patch, then it is not necessary to apply it again.

The following OBIEE Web Services Critical Patch Update (CPU) patches are also recommended and applied to the oracle_common home:

Patch 24580895: WEBSRV BUNDLE PATCH 11.1.1.9.160919
Patch 17081528: "RESOLVE_ENTITY_DEFAULT" PROPERTY DOES NOT PREVENT PROCESSING EXTERNAL DTD

Remote Diagnostic Agent (RDA) 8.14 is Now Available

Remote Diagnostic Agent (RDA) is a data collection framework, driven from the command line, which can be used to gather diagnostic information related to Oracle products and their environments. This data is used to assist in problem diagnosis.

Remote Diagnostic Agent (RDA) 8.14

Remote Diagnostic Agent (RDA) 8.14 contains a remodeled and improved Coherence module, as well as improved collections for Oracle Identity Manager, Enterprise Manager 13c, and Business Intelligence.
The Health Check Validation Engine (HCVE) rulesets have been updated to incorporate the most recent HP patches, as well as to recognize Windows SBS2011. Complete details for this release are available in RDA Release Notes.
Enhancements and installation instructions for RDA 8.14 can be found in RDA Release Notes (Doc ID 414970.1).
This release of RDA is bundled with the 2.11.30 release of Diagnostic Assistant (DA). The DA tool is a command line interface framework designed to simplify and standardize the end user’s experience with various diagnostic tools, providing a common lightweight extensible interface to multiple collection tools (ADR, RDA, OCM, Explorer, etc) . DA packages can also work with Oracle applications (JDE EnterpriseOne, Siebel, PeopleSoft) as verifiers, providing a basic Java interface to facilitate the user’s data collection. Oracle Financial Consolidation and Close Cloud (FCCS) – November 2016 Updates

For information on the November 2016 Updates to Oracle Financial Consolidation and Close Cloud (FCCS), please review the following:

Announcements:

This update applies routine maintenance and infrastructural updates.

Defects Fixed:

The following defects were fixed in this release:

24803109 - Financial Consolidation and Close applications should be updated to FCCS and Consolidation, rather than PCBS and Planning.
24797299 - Overrides only work for data at FCCS_Data Input member of data source dimension. If data is any other member, it is not overridden. Override should override the "FCCS_Total Data Source" and write it to the FCCS_Data Input member.
24662901 - The export process to Financial Consolidation and Close from Data Management takes a long time to complete.

Oracle Account Reconciliation Cloud (ARCS) – November 2016 Update

For information on the November 2016 Updates to Oracle Account Reconciliation Cloud (ARCS), please review the following:

This update applies routine maintenance and infrastructural updates.

Defects Fixed:

No customer defects have been logged to date.

New Features:

Migration Functionality Easily Accessible Under Console - this functionality has been moved from the Navigator on the Home page to a Migration tab in the Console with a simplified user interface.
New EPM Automate Utility Version - new version of the EPM Automate Utility is available with this update. This version implements simplified exit codes and detailed error messages that provide specific information in case of command execution failures. The utility now supports these error codes only:

1 to indicate functional errors reported by the REST APIs that the utility uses
6 to indicate that the service is not available
7 to indicate errors caused by the use of invalid command or parameter
9 to indicate failures due to invalid credentials
11 to indicate internal server errors

Note:

Error codes 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, and 10 are no longer applicable. If your scripts use these codes, replace them with a new code.
You must install this version of the utility to use the new commands. See these sections in Working with EPM Automate for Oracle Enterprise Performance Management Cloud:

Considerations:

When using EPM Automate, log out and log in again after importing a Financial Close Management (FCM) snapshot to refresh the icons on the Home page.
You may receive inaccurate messages from Navigator if pop-up blockers are enabled. Disable pop-up blockers in your browser to avoid this.
In the Academy, some pages and icons may appear different in the video and the Cloud service.
